It Takes A Village 40 Devotional-Day#18

    Now That I Know!
     Colossians 1:9-10 (ESV)
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;”
There is an old saying that says, when you know better you do better. This saying demandingly suggests that truth has transforming power. Anyone who has dared to  matriculate themselves through any form of an educational institution, weather it was elementary school or higher education, knows this to be true. Truth has the power to change lives. This comes with a disclaimer. Truth only transforms those who accept it. This leads to the worthy question, do you accept truth? Do you all0w the word of God to transform your life? Are you simply, just a hearer of the word? Or are you a doer of the word? When the true child of God know better, they do better.
Lord of mercy, today I thank You for being the truth in my life. Forgive me for every time I chose to reject the truth when it was given to me. Please give me the courage to not just be a hearer the truth, but to dare to be a doer. In Jesus name, Amen.
My nephew Rev. Alfonso Carter wrote today’s devotional! Great devotional! Challenging!
