Lord, Increase Our Faith!
Luke 17:5-6 (ESV)

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”

Whether you are going through a life changing event or just plain everyday living, faith is what will get you through. Hebrews 11:1, describes faith as the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen. Faith begins like a mustard seed, small and weak, but if it is nurtured, it will grow and release power.

God requires we only have mustard seed faith, He has enough that He will provide what we lack. It’s the quality of your faith that matters to God. If you want your faith to increase you will have to talk faith, you have to walk faith, you have to live faith, you have to act in faith. In other words, you must treat it as a muscle and exercise it daily so that you can grow stronger in Christ Jesus. Whatever area of life you need faith in, ask Jesus for increased faith and He will provide what you need. Increased faith will prepare us to be ready when He returns.

God, increase my faith in you, Amen!
