Lead The Way!!!
Romans 12:10 (CSB)

“Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Take the lead in honoring one another.”

One Sunday morning in 1865, a black man entered an upscale white church in Richmond, VA., while communion was being served. The black man walked down the aisle and knelt at the altar. A rustle of resentment swept the congregation. How dare he! After all, believers in that church used the common cup. Suddenly a distinguished layman stood up, stepped to the altar, and knelt beside the black man. With Robert E. Lee leading the way, the rest of the church soon followed his lead.

Friends there will come a time in your Christian journey, when you will have to lead the way and be an example for others to follow your lead. Friends, God expects you to lead the way when it comes to loving and honoring others! God doesn’t expect you to wait on someone else to lead the way when it comes to being an advocate for social justice or an example in empathy, love and service. God is looking for you to be proactive and be the one who embraces marginalize people in your community and show them the love, honor and dignity that they deserve.

Friends, as you journey through this life, purpose in your heart to be the one that takes the lead to champion change in the world and outdo others when it comes to loving and honoring mankind!

Lord, thank you for loving and honoring me with eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ. Help me God to lead the way when it comes to loving and honoring all of my brothers and sisters who are image bearers of you, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
